CLIN (Comité de Lutte contre les Infections Nosocomiales - Nosocomial Infections Committee)

Nosocomiales infections, also known as healthcare-associated infections, are infectious diseases acquired during hospitalization. They can be acquired from the hospital environment (equipment, air, water...) but the most common cause is that the patient is infected with their own bacteria during a medical procedure, such as during surgery.

The CLIN is responsible for developing and carrying out a program of actions aimed at preventing these healthcare-associated infections and reducing their frequency.

The establishment has a CLIN responsible for preventing and monitoring healthcare-associated infections, initiating and periodically evaluating actions, and implementing an operational policy to combat nosocomial infections, in accordance with the Loi n° 98-535 du 1er janvier 1998 (pertaining to the improvement of healthcare security and which marked a major step by including among the missions and obligations of all health establishments, the organization of the fight against nosocomial infections), and  Decree n ° 99-1034 of December 6, 1999 specifying the organizational conditions for the fight against nosocomial infections in healthcare establishments and Circulaire n° 645 of 29 décembre 2000.

Everyone is required to respect the basic rules of hygiene, especially since their application is one of the conditions for the quality of care provided to you and conditions the proper functioning of our health establishments (compliance with protocols: washing hands, clothing, bio-cleaning, sanitary equipment, etc.).

All the staff of the establishment combine their efforts to reduce this risk as much as possible by observing strict hygiene of care, by improving their techniques, by promoting the use of single-use materials and products, by carrying out checks and procedures. evaluations.

All these measures are provided and coordinated by the CLIN:

  • Prevent infections by validating and verifying proper compliance with care protocols
  • Monitor infections with regular surveys
  • Develop and disseminate recommendations for good hygiene practices
  • mprove the training of health professionals in hospital hygiene
  • Set up monitoring actions for nosocomial infections
  • Strengthen the system for combating nosocomial infections
  • Evaluate the actions carried out

CLUD (Comité de Lutte contre la Douleur - Pain Relief Committee)

Articles L.710-3-1 and 710-3-2 of the Loi n° 95-116 du 4 février 1995, specify that healthcare establishments are required to manage the pain of their patients. les établissements de santé sont tenus de prendre en charge la douleur des patients qu’ils accueillent. The means used must be documented by the establishment plan referred to in Article L.714-11.

Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that can lead to an extended stay in the establishment.

In this establishment, the healthcare teams are committed to managing your pain, relieving it and giving you all the information you need.

The responsibilities of the CLUD are:

  • to propose, in order to improve pain management, the guidelines best adapted to the local situation, which must be included in the establishment plan (Article L.710-3-1 du code de la santé publique).
  • to coordinate, at the inter-departmental level, any action aimed at better organizing the management of pain.

We provide all the means available to manage and reduce your pain, but your participation is essential. This is why a "pain" questionnaire will be given to you during your hospitalization.

ABOUT PAIN

The purpose of this information is to help you understand your pain.
 
Pain is perceived differently depending on the circumstances, on mood, and on many other factors.

COVIGERIS (Comité des Vigilances et de Gestion des Risques - Vigilance and Risk Management Committee)

In compliance with Circulaire 2004-176 du 29 mars 2004, the COVIGERIS, a body common to all of the Sainte-Marguerite establishments, is responsible for developing an ongoing comprehensive risk management program and coordinating the various regulatory health vigilances established in each of the establishments. This organization coordinates risk management, through a Vigilance Unit and for healthcare vigilance, and through the organizations put in place by the local actors of the various supervised health vigilances.

CSTH (Comité de Sécurité Transfusionnelle et d'Hémovigilance - Committee for Transfusion Safety and Hemovigilance)

In compliance with articles R1221-31 and following of the Code de la Santé Publique, the transfusion safety and haemovigilance committee's mission is to contribute through its studies and proposals to improving the safety of patients who are transfused in the hospital. It ensures that the haemovigilance rules and procedures specified in the aforementioned articles are applied.

It is in particular responsible for the coordination of haemovigilance actions undertaken within the establishment. It checks with the departments concerned for the presence in the patient's medical file of documents pertaining to acts of transfusion and, where applicable, of a copy of the transfusion incident sheet.  It deals with any question relating to the collaboration of the hemovigilance correspondents of the blood transfusion center and the establishment, and more generally any question relating to the flow of information, with a view to improving the effectiveness of haemovigilance.  It keeps itself informed of the operating conditions of the blood banks. It is warned of unexpected or undesirable transfusion incidents and designs any measure intended to remedy them.

COMEDIMS (Commission du Médicament et des Dispositifs Médicaux Stériles - Medicine and Sterile Medical Device Commission)

In compliance with articles R5126-48 and following of the Code de la Santé Publique, the COMEDIMS provides the following guidance:

  • the list of drugs and sterile medical devices recommended for use in the establishment.
  • recommendations on the prescription and proper use of drugs and sterile medical devices and the fight against drug iatrogenism.  "Iatrogenism" is the causation of a disease, a harmful complication, or other ill effect by any medical activity. 

The COMEDIMS is common to all the Sainte-Marguerite Establishments, and is organized within each establishment into Local Commissions.

CLAN (Comité de Liaison Alimentation Nutrition - Food Nutrition Liaison Committee)

In compliance with a circular from the Direction de l’Hospitalisation et de l’Organisation des Soins, (circulaire DHOS/E1/n°2002/186 du 29 mars 2002), the CLAN is an advisory structure participating in the improvement of the nutritional care of patients and the quality of the catering service.

The committee is made up of different professional categories concerned with the diet and nutrition of the patient (from catering staff to doctors and paramedics).

Nutrition is a healthcare element that is subject to a specific organization and rules.

Commisson Éthique (Ethics Commission)

The Ethics Commission is a body which can concern itself with all the activities of the establishment (healthcare, innovation and research, links between people, institutional choices and orientations...).

The objectives of the Ethics Commission are as follows:

  • Animate and promote ethical reflection within the establishment
  • Allow the different categories of staff working in the establishment to meet
  • Analyze difficult practices and decisions
  • Support the personal reflection of those who want to ponder an ethical question
